Event details:
Date: Saturday, March 1, 2014
Location: AMARG Boneyard Davis-Monthan Air Force Base
Tucson, AZ
This is a very unique opportunity as they do not generally open the AMARG Boneyard to the public. And though the Pima Air and Space Museum has tram tours of AMARG, you are confined to being in a bus. Last years event was well organized, and you run/walk down the Aviation Hall of Fame as well as other areas (though you do have to stay on the defined path).

Can you walk very slowly, while carrying multiple cameras?

I'd have a sore neck by the end.

Seems there's also a 10k. Will you do the 10k, or are you just lazy?

10K is a run. I don't think I can run with camera equipment and get decent pictures. (I know, I'm not a real man, I'll deal with it).

I was VERY slow last year.

I just went back and read one of your replies from your post from last year :

A few things... one, this event took place on a military base, so a 50mm f/1.4 is way more subtle than my 70-200mm or even a 17-55mm. Especially when no camera policy was announced. It was also easier to put in a very small bag if I needed to hide it in the car because there were restrictions.
Two, well, this wasn't exactly written with the general public in mind. I posted it to oppositelock (an off topic forum which is hosted by Jalopnik) and wrote it up as such.
and finally, I had, as a backup, my iPhone. Just in case. But, I can get, in my opinion better pictures with my DSLR(s) than my iPhone, so when no one stopped me... I kept shooting. And wished I had more lens options.
Maybe you should see what you can get away with this year! I've got a Tamron 18-270 that would be great for this shoot. It's not as obnoxiously long as the 70-200, and is great for up close and far away. In fact, when retracted, it's no bigger than my 17-50.

Yeah... I plan on it this year. I am likely to bring a 17-55 (or maybe a 28-105) with a T3i as my primary this year, as it would give me the most usable flexibility given what the course was last year, and that weight is somewhat of a factor.
(I'm a bit bitter that I sold my 70-300mm DO lens, that would have been nearly perfect, other than weight).

Someone did that last year. I should have asked them for contact info.

Screw that. I'll be taking pictures and walking slowly.
